FNS has already raised $2,500 in outreach funds and is seeking another $10,000 to cover registration and expenses. Family Nature Summits' President, Chris Blank, has just issued a personal $5,000.00 challenge grant. He has offered to match every donation made to FNS for this program by April 30, 2012, up to a total of $5,000.00, dollar for dollar.
Earth Force and the families who have been selected for this program are also raising funds to cover their costs. If we are able to fully fund this program, 5 families with 10 adults and 16 children will be joining us for the week for an unforgettable experience.
Steve Houser, Director of the Junior Naturalist (ages 5-12) program at the Summit, says, "This is great, one of the missions of the Jr. Naturalist Program is to help children develop a connection with the natural world and become good stewards of the earth. Our highly qualified staff will be offering exciting, fun, and fascinating activities to foster those goals. This will be a great Summit!"
