Earth Force Distributing $95,000 in Grants to Improve Environmental Literacy

January 24, 2013 - Earth Force received $150,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency to work on a variety of environmental and education priorities in the Midwest. We are seeking applications from organizations that are interested in addressing these priorities from a community perspective, while working in partnership with Earth Force.

The Building Environmental Education (EE) Communities Small Grants Program will develop collaborative structures that engage young people in environmental education multiple times. The program will fund groups of three to five organizations that agree to work together in a designated community to accomplish this purpose. Earth Force will award 19 small grants, with a minimum of 15 $5,000 grants made to organizations that apply in unison and agree to work together as a consortium. Organizations throughout Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and 9 Tribal Nations are eligible.
