Lowcountry
Lowcountry Earth Force has been working for the past 9 years to support youth driven, service-learning initiatives that are designed to engage youth in both environmental and community problem solving activities. As a member of the Lowcountry, our work is deeply connected to the local educators, youth and South Carolina's unique and beautiful environment. We strive to provide year-long, one-on-one support for our educators and their students with trainings, field trips, and other professional development and networking opportunities.
Over the past few years, we have expanded our programming outside of Charleston County and into Berkeley, Dorchester, and Colleton counties. We collaborate with numerous school districts, governmental agencies and enjoy support from a variety of small businesses, corporations, local foundations and individual donors.

LEF has been featured in the Charleston Citypaper!
"Earth Force has already been responsible for plenty of positive change around Charleston. A group at Belle Hall Elementary was so instrumental in bringing the pedestrian lane to the Ravenel Bridge that they were invited to be the first to bike across when it opened. Mitchell Elementary chose to focus on animal waste in the street, designing public service announcements that go hand-in-hand with actual cleanup." -Citypaper More...
