On the morning of October 3, 2005, eight teachers throughout Loudoun County collected raw water samples from waterways their students would be later monitoring with the LaMotte kits provided by Earth Force. All of the samples were delivered to Fairfax Water's lab by 1:15pm.
The results from the tests were then provided to Jeff Talbott of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, who provided an analysis of the data at a teacher meeting on December 7, 2005.
