2006 GBWAP Youth Summit A Success!

The 2006 Galveston Bay Watershed Youth Summit was held at the Armand Bayou Nature Center on May 5th. Thanks to help from State Farm Insurance, YouthLaunch, and Texas Parks and Wildlife, students from 6th grade to seniors in high school had a place to share what they've done and celebrate with great music, food, and fun.

Thanks to the following for providing interactive educational booths and/or helping with the event: Bill "Mr. Habitat" Oliver, The Galveston Bay Foundation, The Coast Guard, The Galveston Bay Estuary Program, The Texas Coastal Watershed Program, The Bayou Preservation Association, National Wildlife Federation, Texas Watch, Wildlife Rehab., The Baytown Wetlands Center, the Artist Boat, and the Waterborne Education Center.
