FR Earth Force has a strong presence at Bryant-Wesbter K-8 in Northwest Denver, less than a mile from our office. FR Earth Force staff and several University of Denver student volunteer "coaches" helped several classes realize great project for the school year.
One group decided to pack a one-two punch with their project, tackling the schoolyard issues of trash and lack of plants. In their own words...
Once Upon a Time…
...We introduced ourselves.
...We talked about a lot of issues and narrowed them down to two: trash and plants.
...We became the “Looney Tunes” because there is a sense of humor in every team member.
...We became a close family!
We discussed our plan with the principal. Then we presented our plan to funders to get money for the project. We narrowed our project down to one issue of making a pretty place. We visited the University of Denver.
We went to the zoo to share our project with other schools! At the end, we planted plants in our school.
