Hybrid Vehicles

We created a presentation to inform the community about the causes and effects of Global Warming. The topics ranged from the Green House Effect, various ozone depleting gasses (Carbon Dioxide, Nitrous Oxide, and Methane), temperature and precipitation changes, pollution, and effects on ecosystems and glaciers. In this presentation we also included an introduction to the technology used in hybrid cars.

The next part of the project consisted of researching hybrid cars. We began with the internet and then decided to explore the hybrid technology first hand. To do so we visited various local car dealers inquiring information about the sales of hybrid vehicles. We documented this information as well as test drove the vehicles. Using this information we devised a poster and pamphlet to inform the community about our proposed solution: “The Hybrid Solution”. We created a prompt to leave a lasting impression; it read “When OPEC slows the flow of oil, get in line your blood will boil. So avoid gas stations near and far, and buy your self a hybrid car”. We also included a brochure that had similar information as our power point.
