Students Investigate Mining on the SJR

Date: 9 Mar 2007

The Chinquapin Senior Class 2007 has been investigating ecosystem impacts from sand mining on the San Jacinto River. So far, they've had several guest speakers visit their class to give presentations and have discussions on issues related to sand mining.

They've also visited the river upstream and downstream of current and former sand mining operations to get a better understanding of the problem and take some water quality samples.
