Students at Lutz Elementary, led by teacher Judy Alvarez, created a plan to educate community members about the importance of picking up dog waste. Their effort was part of a larger project involving the establishment of a dog park in their community.
Judy Der’s students at Robinson Elementary mentored 1st graders at the school about the importance of appreciating their environment. They worked together on various reading activities and potted native plants which were taken to Crystal Springs to become new habitat there.
We are proud of these young citizens who took action on behalf of Tampa Bay and their local communities.
