Nelson Elementary- Christine Perez’s 5th Grade Class

15 Feb 2008- Ms. Carrie Luckett and Ms. Perez’s Fifth grade class have selected the issue of wasted energy and are working to develop a project to distribute compact fluorescent lighting (cfl) bulbs. They are exploring all the stakeholders involved with cfl bulbs and how they could give them away for free to the community. With this research, they are also looking for the best way to inform the public of their benefits and of the proper ways to dispose of them.
The fifth graders are also working to put together a mini-grant proposal to fund their project.
