Tom Watkins Praises Earth Force in Better City, Better Life

In Better City, Better Life, Tom Watkins talks about the importance of sustainability and the necessity of citizen action to reach such a state.  He also tells the story of two young people he met while on the Earth Force Board of Directors and their impact on him.  Their environmental passion and desire to act fueled his belief that sustainability requires youth – their enthusiasm, ideas and courage.

And that takes him to China… a nation with increasingly problematic environmental issues, but also a nation whose Shanghai Exposition 2010 is themed “Better City, Better Life.”  Which is great that China is being so progressive, but... Mr. Watkins believes firmly in the need for America to be at the head of the march towards global greenness.  And he believes that our young people will be pivotal in that effort.
