A longstanding Youth Summit sponsor, Whole Foods Market holds a quarterly 5% Day to give back to the communities they serve, where 5% of the day's net sales are donated to a local non-profit organization. In Arlington, Virginia, this summer they selected Earth Force as their 5% Day recipient at the Clarendon store on June 2.
Students from Gunston Middle School and H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program submitted poster presentations for display, and staff hosted a table the night of the event to showcase our work. Thanks to Whole Foods and its customers, we were able to raise $6,760 in just one day!
