This is an exciting career opportunity for the right person who is looking to join the efforts of a non-profit committed to the civic engagement of young people. Earth Force is a national non-profit with 16 employees located around the country. This is a part-time position (24-32 hrs a week) located in Denver, CO, for someone who is a self-starter, an effective multi-tasker, and who values a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work from a home office. The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of critical administrative and operational functions for the entire Earth Force organization. Responsibilities include 1) office management & business operations, 2) fundraising and board support, and 3) other duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES Office management Meeting and Travel: Arrange the scheduling and other logistical considerations for staff meetings, events, trainings, conferences, and travel. Information Management: Manage and maintain databases and other virtual office systems. Financial Operations: Assist with accounts payable mailings, make bank deposits, align funding prospects with monthly financial statements. Organization inventory: Manage organizational inventory (letterhead, curriculum, etc). Office functions: Sort and distribute mail, oversee use of office and meeting space. Fundraising and Board Support Grant submissions: Work closely with Director of Strategic Initiatives to facilitate submission of impeccable, professional grant requests, including compiling and updating supplemental materials for grant applications and coordinating post-submission funder communications. Individual Donors: Work closely with Director of Strategic Initiatives to manage individual donors database, including, but not limited to: record upkeep and schedule of donor communication. Licensing: Manage the submission of the state and charitable registrations and renewal of corporate filing. Board of Directors: Work closely with the President/CEO to coordinate board activities, including: materials preparation for board meetings, creation of new board member orientation packets, and tracking board donor and participation activity. This employee will have similar flexibility to work at the office or from home, but some duties will require being at the Denver office. CLOSING DATE Until filled SALARY This is a part-time (24-32 hours) position, with the potential to become full time. The salary range for this position is competitive, based upon credentials and directly related experience.
