What We Do & How We Do It!
FrontRange Earth Force works with teachers in local schools and advisors in community organizations to bring the best in hands-on, youth-driven learning to their students. We help these committed educators and advisors combine service to the community with classroom learning ("service-learning") to better illustrate important academic, social and personal lessons to young people.
"TELL ME, I WILL FORGET. SHOW ME, AND I MAY REMEBER. INVOLVE ME, AND I WILL UNDERSTAND."
We know that students - and the rest of us, really! - learn best when they are able to see how what they are learning applies directly to real-world situations in which they find themselves each day.
That is why the Six-Step Earth Force Framework is the process for all of our programs, both in and out of the classroom. Learn more about how it works!
AT EARTH FORCE WE TEACH YOUNG PEOPLE HOW TO THINK...NOT WHAT TO THINK.
If the staff of FrontRange Earth Force worked directly with local students, we might be able to reach 300 or maybe even 400 students each year. We are a very hard-working staff, but have limited time and resources. And while bringing our program directly to youth would transform them as individuals, what about the educational system of which they are all a part?
We have found a way to serve close to 2,000 students each year - AND help to transform our struggling educational system. Learn more about how we do what we do!
"THE BEND IN THE ROAD IS NOT THE END OF THE ROAD UNLESS YOU REFUSE TO TAKE THE TURN."
One of the great strengths of our program is its amazing flexibility and adaptability - to the needs of the school, the teacher or advisor, and most importantly the students.
The Earth Force Framework is an open-ended six-step process; within it, academic standards and school mandates can be met, which keeping students excited and engaged.
