Service Learning Center

A Local Leader

Since late 2004, FrontRange Earth Force has served as the Southwest Regional Center of the National Service Learning Exchange. The designation is proof of the organization's reputation as a leader in the field of professional development for both experienced and aspiring service learning practitioners.

A NATIONAL MOVEMENT WITH LOCAL ROOTS

The National Service Learning Exchange, a project of the National Youth Leadership Council, has supported service learning practitioners across the country since 1998. The National Exchange is made up of five regional centers, which are operated by strong local non-profit organizations which are leaders in the service learning field.

The most important feature of the National Exchange is its network of hundreds of experienced service learning professionals who serve as Peer Mentors to others seeking to master the best practices of service learning.

THE SOUTHWEST REGIONAL CENTER

Our operations as the Southwest Regional Center for the National Service Learning Exchange are overseen by a Leadership Team of highly respected service-learning leaders, each representing one of the nine states we serve.

We maintain a network of 50 Peer Mentors in our region, which includes: Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. Our activities ensure that interested professionals are aware of professional development opportunities throughout the region, and have access to the latest information about service learning practices.
