Lake Erie-Allegheny(LEA) Earth Force offers programming in Western Pennsylvania, Western New York, and Eastern Ohio. Our offices are located in Pittsburgh and Erie.

The Earth Force process entails six steps: Step One: Youth learn about their community's strength and challenges. Step Two: Youth choose the environmental issue they want to address. Step Three: Youth research the issue to understand how to address the problem. Step Four: Youth decide what to change and how to change it. Step Five: Youth design and complete an Action Plan (environmental action) Step Six: Youth reflect on their experience and go public.
LEA Earth Force and DV Earth Force, were one of twelve organizations and businesses recognized with The Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence in 2007. The Governor’s Award honors Pennsylvania businesses and organizations that put in place projects that tackle environmental problems and help build new businesses, enhance the bottom line and engage residents in a renewed commitment to investing in their communities. |
