Internships Available

LEF is looking for college and/or graduate students who would like to assist LEF with our mission of engaging youth as active citizens who improve the environment and their communities now and in the future.  Internship duties include:

  • Assisting Program Manager with the 25-30 environmental service learning projects conducted at local schools
  • Maintaining and updating web site
  • Maintaining database
  • Coordinating volunteer inquiries
  • Aiding in the planning and execution of LEF events
  •  Other office duties as assigned

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a supportive atmosphere while working for a small nonprofit that is having a large impact on students, communities, and the environment. This is an unpaid position requiring approx. 10 hours per week.

 

Community Advisory Board

 

Lowcountry Earth Force is now recruiting volunteers to serve on our Community Action Board. Responsibilities include: representing Lowcountry Earth Force throughout the community at events and other gatherings, as well as assisting with programming and fundraising.   If interested please contact Executive Director, Anna Richardson, for more information at arichardson@earthforce.org.

 

Earth Force After School

We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers to facilitate Earth Force After School! This program spends one hour a week with K-5 Children in Mount Pleasant elementary schools. Volunteers will be trained to lead the students on an investigative journey that begins with identification and exploration of environmental issues. Students then choose a specific issue to research and will utimately implement a sustainable solution to their choosen issue.

  • Program will run once a week for 28 weeks for an hour between 3-5PM.
