Staples Foundation for Learning

Teach. Train. Inspire. These three words embody the mission of the Staples Foundation for Learning—and are the core of the partnership with Earth Force.

Earth Force provides opportunities to teach young people about their local community, train educators to actively engage students as learners and inspire young people to act as principled stewards to our environment.

Now in its fourth year, the partnership with Staples Foundation for Learning has made it possible for Earth Force to have a significant impact on environmental education—enabling educators and students to apply their classroom learning to real-world issues and make lasting contributions to the quality of the environment.

Beginning in 2007 Staples has been awarding outstanding classrooms for their efforts to improve their communities through an Annual Award. You can see the award winners in our awards section.

The investment from Staples Foundation for Learning has allowed Earth Force to infuse higher-level teaching strategies into our curriculum and expand our staff capacity to train and support teachers. Thanks to this investment, Earth Force is a stronger organization, with the ability to make improvements to education, inspire youth to participate as stewards to the environment, and build the problem-solving skills that are needed for success in the classroom and beyond.
