District Partnerships
Turn District Priorities Into Meaningful Student Learning
Earth Force helps districts turn priorities like student engagement, civic readiness, environmental literacy, and Portrait of a Graduate competencies into meaningful classroom experiences—using the curriculum and systems you already have.
Does this sound familiar?
You invested in PBL—but students are still doing worksheets.
PBL works best when students solve problems that matter to them and know the solution will impact their lives.
Earth Force helps: Students investigate real local issues, work with community members, and take action on problems that matter to them.
Not every teacher feels ready to bring it into their classroom.
You have educators who are excited about student-led learning, but scaling that experience takes more champions.
Earth Force helps: Build educator confidence through professional learning, coaching, and implementation support.
You have a Seal of Climate Literacy. But only 5% of your students earn it.
Your state or district has set a goal for every student. Right now, you're nowhere close. You need a way to reach more students.
Earth Force helps: Bring climate and environmental learning into everyday instruction through student-led projects, so more students can build these skills.
Your district may already be investing in these things. The challenge is making them reach more students—and change the learning experience.
You need your district-wide existing priorities to work together.
Your district is already focused on future-ready learning, civic learning, STEM, climate literacy, Portrait of a Graduate, and more.
Earth Force helps: Connect those priorities through one flexible approach that fits into the curriculum you're already teaching.
Not sure where your district would start? Let’s figure it out together.
We’re helping districts tackle these challenges.
HOW WE WORK
A FLEXIBLE APPROACH
Co-Creation: Your strategy, our expertise
We don’t deliver an off-the-shelf service, but rather co-create a plan that meets you where you are. We offer a range of support, from strategic analysis of existing curricula/initiatives to full-scale implementation through three flexible tiers.
EVIDENCE-BASED REFINEMENT
Grounded in research, best practices, and refinement
Our approaches are grounded in research and strengthened through ongoing evaluation with Data+Soul, a leading data firm rooted in equity. We refine our methods based on evidence, not assumptions, ensuring continuous improvement.
CONNECTING, NOT REPLACING
Integration into your unique schools and ecosystem
Districts get the strongest results when Environmental Applied Civics is integrated into existing programs. We help strengthen your curriculum so young people can work with their community on real environmental issues while still meeting standards.
RECENT PARTNERSHIPS
Collaborative Wins: Flexible Models for District Impact
Aligning with your community’s priorities
A partnership with Earth Force supports the strategic goals of district leaders, educators, and parents. We help districts strengthen what’s already happening in classrooms—without adding more work for teachers—while giving students more opportunities to lead, think critically, and take action. Here are a few examples of our recent district partnerships.
-
Over more than a decade, Earth Force has worked with the incredible team at Fairfax to grow student environmental action into a district-wide approach to environmental literacy—strengthening educator practice and using what we learn to improve the work over time.
-
Earth Force and the CLEAN Network partnered with DPS to pilot Climate Literacy Seal-aligned environmental action within the 9th grade Civics "Power of Protest" unit. Earth Force provided a full-day professional development to meet the Seal’s experiential learning requirements using existing coursework.
-
Earth Force provided district-wide professional development for science educators, introducing the Environmental Applied Civics process as a framework for student-led climate action. These sessions successfully integrated Climate Literacy principles into existing classes and built significant educator capacity.
-
As an embedded partner in Sheridan, Earth Force co-designs Climate Literacy Seal-aligned pathways with curriculum and credit recovery staff. This deep collaboration, supported by the GOCO Sheridan Inspire Coalition, empowers students to lead environmental justice and food access initiatives across all grade levels and summer programming.
OUR SERVICES
Every district’s starting point is different. We’ll begin by understanding your goals, context, and capacity, then identify the right pathway that best supports your vision.
Tier 1: Analysis and strategic direction
We review your existing curriculum, unit, or initiative through a systems and implementation lens. You’ll receive clear recommendations grounded in evidence, practice, and existing constraints—along with a roadmap that makes next steps actionable.
Tier 2: Strategy to solutions
Tier 2 includes everything in Tier 1, plus hands-on support to prepare you for launch. We work with your team to translate strategy into materials, frameworks, and shared understanding—so implementation doesn’t depend on a single person.
Tier 3: Full implementation support
Tier 3 includes all prior deliverables and adds sustained support through the first year of implementation. This is a deeper partnership focused on quality, scale, and results. This tier typically involves regular engagement and may include in-person support.
